About

The demand for drones to assist in performing industrial services has grown significantly in the past year. To preempt this rising demand, DJI has made serious improvements to their Matrice product line with their first aerial platform built for enterprise users, the Matrice 200 Series. The Matrice 200 Series of drones is a huge improvement over their past industrial airframes, with a more streamlined design that lets enterprise users focus more on the task and less on the tool. The M200 Series builds on the Inspire 2 platform (same flight controller, obstacle avoidance, FPV camera, redundant batteries) buts adds a more rugged and powerful build than anything DJI has built previously, as evidenced by more powerful motors, weather sealing and a max flight time of 38 minutes.

Today, we are proud to launch Matrice 200 Series and hope that this product benefits enterprise users and drives drone usage into every corner of the economy.

Built to Endure.

The M200 Series’ closed-shell design and powerful motors enable the drone to operate in adverse weather conditions. With an IP43 rating, this drone is water resistant and ready for the toughest tasks.

With 20 internal sensors, including dual IMUs, and a dual-redundant battery system that automatically heats batteries when flying in sub-zero temperatures, the M200 Series is built for any situation. With the new DJI AirSense technology directly integrated into the drone, the M200 Series is the first commercially available drone with an ADS-B receiver. This module enhances airspace safety by automatically providing the operator with real-time information about nearby manned aircraft, enabling operations where teams rely on mixed aircraft.

Additionally, the M200 Series is built with the latest DJI FlightAutonomy technology, providing intelligent obstacle avoidance and precision hovering. Additionally, a forward-facing FPV camera offers improved controls for complicated piloting situations.

With the option to choose larger TB55 batteries for additional flight time, pilots can fly for up to 35 minutes with a mounted camera and 38 minutes with no payload. If more time in the sky to complete tasks wasn’t enough, the M200 Series has a unique, foldable design and comes with a specially designed travelling case to simplify your office to field process. The travelling case is built to grow with you as you rack up piloting experience, with space for extra batteries and the ability to pack away your M200 drone with mounting plates pre-installed.

Engineered to Adapt.

The M200 Series is compatible with an array of payloads that enable pilots to capture a wide variety of data. This includes the Zenmuse XT camera, built on Flir’s industry leading technology, for capturing thermal data accurate to a half a degree Celsius. Additionally, the Zenmuse Z30 aerial zoom camera allows inspectors to view millimeter resolutions at up to 30 meters away, perfect for inspections in difficult environments. The Zenmuse X4S, with a 20 MP camera and a leaf shutter, is ideal for surveying and mapping missions while the Zenmuse X5S M4/3 camera will capture unparalleled footage and stills.

The M200 Series consists of three models, the M200, M210 and M210 RTK. The M200 can capture data in the roughest environments. The M210 model offers pilots adaptability on the go, with multiple payload configurations and universal communication and power ports. The M210 RTK model builds on the M210 model with a built-in RTK unit for precision flying and additional resistance to electromagnetic interference.

M200 model’s features

The M200 Series’ folding body is easy to carry and to set up, with a specially designed travelling case that can carry all necessary parts you need to finish each mission. With a weather- and water-resistant body, rated at IP43, this platform is ideal for field operations. The dual batteries, using either TB50 or TB55 batteries, can reach a maximum flight time of 38 minutes (TB55, no payload). The drone is compatible with 4 payloads: X4S, X5S, XT, Z30 (need a special adaptor to mount XT on M200).

The M200 drone is the first DJI drone with the DJI AirSense system, enhancing airspace safety. The DJI AirSense system includes a built-in ADS-B receiver which provides the operator with real-time information about nearby manned aircraft equipped with ADS-B transmitters. AirSense enables safer and more efficient use of airspace, particularly in locations where other manned aircraft may be operating.

M210 models’ features

The M210 builds on the features from the M200 with the ability to mount multiple payload configurations – one single downward facing gimbal, dual downward-facing gimbals, or one upward-facing gimbal.

The dual gimbal configuration unlocks 5 different combinations, please refer to the following table to properly mount you cameras. Left and right gimbal port is determined from the perspective of looking directly at the nose of the drone.

The M210 adds additional connectivity and power ports to support third party sensors and accessories. The M210 has the capability to support additional sensors in the future and additional payloads can be mounted on top of the aircraft. Each purchase of the M210 models comes with DJI's CrystalSky monitor for enhanced operations.

The M210 RTK is available with built-in D-RTK modules for centimeter-precision navigation.

Intelligent Flight Features

The M200 Series drones utilize computer vision for intelligent flight modes to help more efficiently collect data. These features are available for multiple DJI sensors, enabling advanced shots such as zooming while tracking an object:

- Spotlight – to lock the camera onto a subject during flight while the aircraft moves freely
- Point of Interest – to circle around an object for a smooth orbit
- Tripod – to fine-tune position and angle for position framing and safe navigation in narrow environments
- ActiveTrack – to follow a person or object while keeping it in frame
- These modes are enabled by two front visual sensors, a ultrasonic and visual downward positioning system and an upper infrared sensor.

Compatible Apps and Software

DJI GO 4 mobile app can be used to control and customize the Matrice 200 Series. iPad users can also plan flights through DJI’s GS Pro app. In addition to that, the M200 Series supports the brand new DJI Pilot Android app, which is specifically designed for enterprise users, optimizing user experience and flight performance. The DJI Pilot app will be available once the M200 Series has begun shipment.

DJI Pilot & DJI FlightHub

The DJI Pilot app is compatible with DJI FlightHub™, a web-based software package allowing teams to share real-time data with offsite parties over the Internet. This includes remote emergency situation control rooms keeping track of first response teams or asset management centers inspecting global infrastructure networks.

In an easy-to-use control center, DJI FlightHub lets users plan flights with multiple drones and keep track of each aircraft’s status. An offsite control room can simultaneously monitor live feeds and can remotely control gimbal and camera. The software enables managers to plan flights in advance using waypoints and dynamic geofencing. This software is open to accept customize design requests.
